Unfortunately, it wasn't possible for me to do a proper concept test this week, but I've discussed my three prototypes with two potential users, and they both agreed that concept C (The IKEA hack) was the best solution for small spaces, but that concept G (The Diagonal IKEA Hack) was more practical and interesting if you've got the room for it. Concept C is easier to transport, and easier to make.
As much as I'd love to go forward with The Diagonal IKEA Hack, I've come to realize that given the time and means available, I've got to stick with the simpler concept, The IKEA Hack.
This week, I've decided on the locking mechanism for the folding legs, and I've also taken a closer look at dimensions. And I've made my first effort ever at drawing anything in Sketch up.
