My gap is a folding knitting machine table that I can make myself - small and lightweight but sturdy.

Gaps I've experienced:
  1. Some sort of folding table/shelving/rack to display my wares at markets and fairs.
  2. A folding table for my knitting machines - the existing ones are too big, too pricey or downright ugly. THIS WILL BE MY GAP.
  3. A combined (digital) calendar and to-do-list - easy to use, nice and simple to look at, available and synced on all platforms.
  4. A self-emptying/self-loading dishwasher
  5. A sturdier (and nicer) cover for my serger.
  6. A collapsible wheeled shopping carrier that can actually be both carried and rolled along in comfort and style.
  7. A better layout for our crafter's society's autumn course list.
  8. An absolutely air-tight portable ashtray that will hold half-smoked cigarettes.
  9. A bench for my porch, with x-legs (as they take up less space than straight legs), preferably one that I can make myself.
  10. Plans for making a simple carport for our little electric car.

My basket making tool basket. Why do I love it?
It works very well - it's just the right size (big enough to hold the tools I need, but not so big that I end up filling with all sorts of other stuff) , all tools are readily at hand when I work, it is sturdy, it sits well without toppling over, the willow is organically and locally grown, the colors make me happy, the lining is repurposed,  removable and washable - and I made both basket and lining myself.
